Job Details

About the Team
Over the past twenty years, more than five million people have participated in our Financial Peace University course to get out of debt and on a budget.  Our team consists of marketing, development, creative, and all the other things you would expect it would take to make a top-tier service.

But we have a problem: We have a lot of data to analyze. We want to know if one method of reaching people is more effective than others. We want to know if people in ZIP code 12345 are engaging with our business differently from people in ZIP code 67890. We want to know whether a specific change we made improved or hurt our performance. We want to know which things move the needle—and more importantly, which ones don’t.

This is where you come in. As our Analytics and Insights Specialist, you will be in charge of telling the story with data and drawing with numbers. If you read that and can’t wait to apply, please read on.

Other Things You Should Know

  • Dave Ramsey’s organization is a mission-driven company with more than 600 people all focused on helping people with their money and other areas of their lives. We are passionate about doing work that matters!  Our environment is fun and fast-paced, and we really do care about treating each other like we want to be treated. That’s why we’ve been awarded one of Nashville’s Best Places to Work by the Nashville Business Journal nine times!
  • Our interview process is more involved and thorough than you think it will be. But don’t be scared. This process helps us make sure we find you the best seat on the bus.
  • We are a privately owned, debt-free company with more than 550 team members.
  • We rarely work more than 40 hours per week. Family matters to us, and we want you to have a life outside of here.

Requirements

This role comes with the following responsibilities:

  • Find new insights and trends that will help us improve lead acquisition and success.
  • Define and stay on top of key performance indicators (KPIs). If you can create automatic or semiautomatic dashboards using your mad skills, even better.
  • Partner with business and marketing stakeholders to identify and capture opportunities and strategies to grow and improve performance
  • Build your own complex models that explain what will happen if a certain KPI or other data point (e.g., acquisition, mix, or conversion) changes.
  • Deliver reports—both written and in presentation form—of key findings. Interface with multiple levels of stakeholders.
  • Work alongside our development and platform team to advise on all aspects of data.

Qualifications

Made it this far? Great! Let’s be sure you’ve got the following:

  • At least one year of experience analyzing marketing, financial, and/or product data
  • Great communication skills—written and oral
  • You speak Excel and SQL like a second language.
  • Strong background in quantitative thinking and statistical data analysis
  • You can problems solve like a boss—and you use your analytical side to do it.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, Qlikview, etc.)
