Job Details

Wells Fargo is working to change the way we deliver product offerings to customers to focus on meeting the needs of our clients when and where and how they need us. To do this, the Insights & Analytics (I&A) team within the Marketing group is developing a new analytically-driven offer optimization capability that will ingest non-traditional data, use cutting edge analytical techniques and ultimately seek to predict customer needs before they arise.

We are looking for an experienced data scientist to lead the development of this analytical effort for the enterprise and deliver value to our customers by understanding them in ways that our traditional approaches have not been able to achieve. Responsibilities include:

  • Development of an offer success measurement plan to include non-sales outcomes like customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Creation of next-generation models that use both traditional and un-/semi-structured data to better predict customer needs and outcomes
  • Partnership with the technology and sales teams to ensure alignment on deliverables/timelines/implementation
  • Analytical management of small, pilot programs to test new offer ideas in targeted markets
  • Integration with enterprise modeling efforts in partner organizations (Enterprise Data & Analytics/Risk/Finance) to ensure that the lead & offer optimization engine is cross-compatible with existing modeling frameworks
  • Leadership of the data strategy around collection, structure and syndication of lead & offer data
  • Mentoring junior staff on modeling techniques and providing guidance on analytical approaches
  • Leading cross-functional and cross-LOB project teams

Location: San Francisco, CA and Charlotte, NC preferred; Other Wells Fargo locations may be considered.
