In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be a part Philips Wellcentive, a leader in population health that helps customers provide care management for more than 30 million patients and achieve more than $500 million annually in value-based revenue.

 

You are responsible for

  • Create new analytics solutions and services for population health management
  • Apply advanced statistics and machine learning method to complex healthcare datasets and drive actionable insights for customers
  • Support the delivery of custom analytics consulting engagements
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data ETL, query design and performance measurement using software development and data science methods
  • Define and develop requirements and specifications for population health management data science platforms
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry and competitor innovation to ensure solution competitiveness and differentiation
  • Present on Analytics Services project results and methodologies to clients and at industry events
  • Mentor and coach junior team members on the execution of data science methods
  • Coordinate with other data science teams in Wellcentive across Philips
  • Participates in QA activities as needed

 

You are a part of

A team that will provides the strategy for the Philips Wellcentive Population Health system, combining customer requirements and needs, market direction and competitive challenges, and trends in the healthcare industry, into a product roadmap and strategy.  Our team works with the development team, the marketing team, and the services team, to lead our products from the design and development, to testing, customer validation and implementation.  You’ll work with other product managers, as well as business analysts, scrum team members, marketing and customer service teams, and other product teams throughout the Philips organization. 

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 3+ years’ experience as a data scientist, with the majority of experience in healthcare
  • Expert in multiple data languages including but not limited to R, python, java
  • Experience with both structured and unstructured database technologies
  • Experience integrating data science methods to into commercial business problems and projects
  • Experience being customer facing for the solicitation of requirements and communication of results
  • Familiarity with population health paradigms, standard analytical methods and relevant datasets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for the explanation of how results apply to business problems
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior analysts and data scientists on technical methodology and project execution
