Position Description

The Junior Data Analyst is responsible for providing research, modeling, analysis, and guidance using operations research and data science techniques. The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for creating data-driven analysis to improve product quality, design, marketing and sales activities. The Junior Data Analyst produces financial and operational reports and analyzes business performance metrics to reveal trends, correlations, dependencies, and gain other insights. In addition, the analyst monitors results, elicits requirements for projects or business systems, provides documentation for those business systems, and conducts cost-benefit analysis. This technically-savvy communication specialist will organize and interpret data to inform company leaders, drive product quality, and shape activities that drive brand loyalty and profitable growth.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead all reporting and analytic efforts for the Customer Engagement Center (CEC) with the critical vision to continuously improve the consumer experience and drive profitable growth.
  • Develop predictive systems that efficiently capture and improve data quality and reporting in conjunction with IT and Marketing.
  • Support collaborative efforts across Electrolux with a focus on leveraging the CEC.
  • Work closely with product development, quality and marketing to identify, evaluate, design and implement statistical analyses of consumer & customer feedback and data.
  • Develop polished, high-impact, persuasive reports and presentations that enable strategic decision making in support of driving consumer brand loyalty, product quality and design, and drive profitable growth.

Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree required; MBA/Masters preferred
  • Ability to write SQL scripts is mandatory
  • Advanced Excel -- including Macros, PowerPivot (DAX), Pivot Tables, Microsoft Query, and advanced Formulas/Functions
  • Proficient in Statistics and Algebra
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Minimum 2 years of business analyst or big data manipulation experience, work experience in data analytics, reporting automation & dashboards
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Curiosity to dive into data and enjoys searching for patterns that could indicate new insights
  • Broad understanding and experience with real-time analytics and business intelligent platforms
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language
  • Being able to work in teams towards a shared goal;
  • Ability to change direction quickly based on data analysis;
  • Able to work in stressful situation when insights in (new) data sets are required quickly.
  • Capable of setting priorities, meeting pre-determined deadlines and multi-tasking.
  • Strong initiative and pro-active mindset
  • Possess strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills with particular attention given to detail and accuracy.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfortable with hands-on data and software tools and/or applications;
  • Experience with SQL scripts, creating and running or other report writer tools;
  • Successfully navigates through ambiguity and change
