The primary responsibilities of this role, Manager - Digital Analytics, are to:

  • Lead Global BIAC (Business Intelligence, Analytics, & Controlling) for major strategic digital program (Segment of One for Consumer Health.) Oversee project in 2 pilot countries; then extend to 40 countries per the roadmap. Responsible for global marketing architecture for Segment of One E2E (end to end) solution. Assess results and contribute to decision on path forward following pilots. Other divisions, such as BCS and Animal Health, will have similar programs;
  • Lead a team of digital analysts, defining an overall web analytics strategy and roadmap, aligned with online channel objectives as well as brand needs. Will help to define how digital data should be used and interpreted, and grow this team’s skills and capabilities;
  • Lead a team solving problems including: improving digital customer acquisition via cross channel attribution and digital targeting, measuring the impact of social experiences, understanding how mobile online behaviors differ from desktop, developing rigorous online testing programs, improving the online servicing experience and cost reductions for customers on our websites, among other digital analysis areas;
  • Partner with internal customers (e.g. Marketing, Brand, Consumer Insights) to develop analyses that leads to actionable insights that accelerate profitable growth;
  • Prioritization and management of team activities while proactively identifying areas in which analytics efforts can produce a strong value add;
  • Work with senior analytics lead(s) within business units to develop and support attribution efforts that fuel cross channel performance measurement, forecasting and scenario optimization;
  • Continually evolve analytics processes and tools; incorporate new sources of data to improve understanding Bayer’s’ digital business and consumers;
  • Responsible for site analytics, site testing, tagging, auditing, implementation, best practices and enhancing the online experience (business case development, analytics, testing and measurement plans);
  • Provide strategic points of view, on how to grow and improve websites, identifying and quantifying opportunities for improvement. This includes sharing data-driven insights and collaborating across the divisions;
  • Force a consistent and structured digital testing approach which strives for rapid iteration and optimization of digital experiences – Work closely with Digital Consultants, as well as Project Managers through the development lifecycle;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to educate business partners and brands and ensure alignment across divisions on KPIs for metrics;
  • Synthesize data from disparate sources to reach conclusions and drive actions;
  • Ensure compliance for technical implementation of digital [online] solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years OR Master’s Degree with 8 years OR Doctorate 2-4 years OR equivalent of 8-11 years of related experience;
  • 5-7 years of experience in a business intelligence, marketing analytics or data science role;
  • Understanding of marketing clouds and digital data technologies (DMPs, Google 360 Suite, digital pixel tracking, site tagging, etc.);
  • Understanding of the technology associated with creating and maintaining a single ID view of the consumer;
  • Experience with mixed media modeling and digital attribution technology such as Google, DoubleClick, Convertro and Visual IQ;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills successfully developed through hands on experience leading high performing small IT teams (including strong organization management - development, strong motivator, teambuilding);
  • Proven track record in demonstrating value to business and building credibility through implementing E2E BI / Digital Analytic solutions that meet/exceed stakeholder expectations Significant business knowledge;
  • Ability to effectively interact, influence and develop consensus with all levels of management/senior management within a multi-functional team environment specifically Divisional Stakeholders, IT BPs, Global;
  • Possess a conceptual knowledge of IT and understand all aspects of the project life cycle, including adherence to IT development standards.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and negotiation skills through articulating concepts and ideas;
  • Diplomatic, persuasive and be able to establish a rapport with all levels of the organization, both internal to Bayer, as well as externally;
  • Demonstrate an interest in and show evidence of broadening his/her knowledge base beyond current assigned area of responsibility;
  • Have full knowledge of the legal, medical and regulatory process and requirements, as it relates to digital implementation, specifically in regards to minimizing risk;
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agency / Marketing / IT background;
  • Certification in Google Analytics or other Web Analytics platform(Adobe);
  • Creating predictive analysis data model.
