The Manager of Marketing Analytics and Strategy is an integral part of the Ad Council's team responsible for crafting marketing strategies for more than 40 social good issues each year.


From analyzing the data across all the outreach platforms to updating the marketing strategy based on the insights, your job is to make all outreach data-driven, targeted and impactful. You are responsible for developing a single-view framework for customer analysis, determining the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for marketing activities, and analyzing marketing outreach performance against the donated media trends to inform an evolving strategy for over 40 campaigns. You are also responsible for researching new technologies and platforms, implementing the tools that align with the needs of the team, while continuing to oversee the marketing analytics suite currently in place, including Tableau, Salesforce, IBM Marketing Cloud, Smartsheet, Google Analytics, and Adobe Analytics.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and Branding, you will work in collaboration with the Media Marketing and Analytics teams to formulate, implement and report on various marketing strategies. You will also directly oversee the development and maintenance of our database in Salesforce with the help of the Assistant Database Manager.


Responsibilities include:

  • Evolve the TV marketing strategy based on performance against key benchmarks and engagement goals, and develop updated marketing strategies for radio, print and digital media types
  • Establish a data sync between Silverpop, Salesforce, PSAC, Extreme Reach and Tableau to combine data from different sources and gain a holistic view of each campaign
  • Work with partners at IBM, Smartsheet and Tableau to beta test and formulate new dashboards and widgets designed to track campaign performance data
  • Customize the Performance Insights Tool to capture critical metrics and insights relating to the Ad Council campaigns and build dashboards to provide to the CM teams on email performance
  • Use a combination of Performance Insights and Tableau metrics to build journeys through Programs, IBM's journey designer tool, and engage each contact with personalized messaging
  • Develop a dashboard for each campaign to analyze the impact of marketing activity on donated media and detections, and develop customized marketing plans tailored to each campaign individually
  • Analyze correlations and trends in the data to forecast results, retarget markets and organizations, and customize outreach to Media partners
  • Update and maintain Smartsheet as a project management tool that eliminates data silos between different departments and contains the latest information on each campaign
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of Salesforce as a marketing database, ensuring the data is clean and optimized for outreach
  • Work with the team to build out a Social Media Strategy, and develop a plan to analyze and optimize the outreach efforts



  • 3-5 years of experience in the marketing industry, working primarily in analytics and strategy
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, IBM Marketing Cloud, and Tableau
  • Salesforce experience required, certification is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Team Player who works well with others
  • Strong computer skills, experience with other MS Office applications, particularly with advanced excel features like vlookup and pivot tables
