Job Details

Verily Life Sciences is focused on shifting health care from a reactive, undifferentiated approach to a proactive, targeted approach by transforming the detection, prevention, management and even our basic understanding of disease.

Verily is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alphabet and is a research and engineering company focused on new tools and technologies that could help transform the detection, prevention, and management of disease. Our team includes engineers, scientists, and medical experts working on new approaches to understand disease and handle it proactively. We are focused on developing new tools for translational research and medicine, such as new smart devices that integrate easily into their patients’ daily lives and could help transform the detection, prevention, and management of disease. These tools generate more information about the human body than has ever before been available and we’re also using data science, analytics, and machine learning to work with partners to turn this information into knowledge and understanding.

Verily is seeking an experienced individual to support execution of clinical studies and other exploratory research projects involving analysis of samples by mass cytometry (CyTOF) and flow cytometry. You will have extensive prior hands-on experience with handling and processing of primary human samples, mass and flow cytometry, and developing and executing validated research workflows. You will be tasked with generating high-quality data, managing production timelines, and driving key platform deliverables, among other responsibilities. You will play a crucial role supporting our efforts aimed at revolutionizing healthcare to be more proactive, preventative, and tailored to individuals.

The Verily Life Sciences team is focused on helping to move healthcare from reactive to proactive. Combining expertise from the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, medicine, electrical engineering, computer science, we’re developing new technology tools for physicians that can integrate easily into daily life and help transform the detection, prevention, and management of disease. Current projects in development include a smart contact lens with miniaturized glucose sensor; a nanodiagnostics platform to help with early detection of disease; and Liftware utensils for people with tremor.
