About Role

Senior Data Scientist with 5+ years of data science experience to join our talented and dynamic team in Mountain View, CA. Role is data-intensive and successful candidates should also be able to offer a strategic perspective on using our data as an asset. Collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams, located in different geographies is one of the key requirement. Someone with intellectual curiosity who can work with state-of-the-art, cloud-based Big Data platform with highly diverse and rich datasets. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Machine Learning skills by identifying business opportunities within our product portfolio.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and other data scientists to innovate on and improve our core products.
  • Establish robust processes to insure the stability, accuracy, reproducibility and overall quality of all algorithms and processes.
  • Understanding the trade-off's among the various machine learning algorithms (existing and emerging) and make the right choice that serves the business objectives.
  • Ensure operational and optimal execution in production of all data science routines and processes.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced business environment.
  • Understand the current data sets and models and provide thought leadership by discovering new ways to enrich the data.

Requirements

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Economics or related fields).
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in at least one modern advanced analytical programming language such as Python, R, Scala, TensorFlow, or other language; Java is a plus.
  • Deep understanding and experience with Machine Learning techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, neural nets, support vector machines, anomaly detection, recommender systems, sequential pattern discovery, and text mining. Deep natural language understanding is a plus.
  • Efficient SQL development skills writing complex queries, transforming data, and mining structured and unstructured data.
  • Track record using data science to build impactful product features.
  • Proven ability to effectively distill and communicate complex analysis to different audiences.
  • Experience with large data sets and related technologies is a plus, e.g. Hadoop, AWS, or Spark.
