We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join the Business Analytics and Forecasting team. This individual will be based in Redwood City, CA, working closely with the Development, Publishing, Product Marketing, finance, ops, and Live Teams, as well as BAF team members in San Francisco, Stockholm, Guildford, Vancouver, Geneva and Bucharest. The right candidate will be able to drive decision-making insights, experiments and engagement models to action.


What You'll Do

  • Influence development decisions and marketing strategies through fact-based data-driven insights and analysis; be a key agent of change for EA digital product strategy and marketing optimization
  • Perform strategic analysis using all available sources of information (internal consumer data, consumer insights, research data, industry sources), to support the decision-making process and strategic direction of marketing; evangelize this work throughout the studio
  • Work with key stakeholders to evaluate ROI for new products, marketing strategies, licensing and other initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between the Subscription Organization (EAX) and other central teams (insights, data science, CRM, PBM, social marketing, etc.) and the studios
  • Work closely with other EA Analytics teams to define segmentation groupings and life-time value metrics, and build propensity models that predict churn, engagement, and other user behaviors
  • Monitor market to best understand price optimization and consumer appetite for digital content
  • Work with key stakeholders to implement the right tracking/telemetry in our products, in an iterative way so that our knowledge continues to evolve
  • Partner with BI and reporting teams to develop requirements for dashboards and reports for live service teams as well as reports for execs
  • Develop and maintain forecast models for digital products, working with marketing, dev and finance
  • Contribute to weekly operational forecasts with key stakeholders


What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of relevant hands on experience, preferably in gaming, banking, consulting, telcom or retail
  • Excellent advanced SQL skills: including extensive experience querying large, complex data sets
  • Familiarity with a data visualization software package, e.g., Tableau
  • Familiarity with a statistical software package, such as SAS, Stata or R
  • Familiarity with scripting/programming languages (Python, Scala, Spark)
  • Strong understanding of direct marketing in digital channels
  • Good knowledge of Excel including macros, pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences - Master’s Degree a plus
  • Passion for videogames is preferred
